Andrew Henley

Former Professor of Entrepreneurship and Economics, Director of Research Engagement and Impact at Cardiff University

Career

Andrew Henley’s research focuses on self-employment and entrepreneurship, small business growth and leadership, regional economic development and economics and ethics with a current focus on understanding the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has strong links with organisations representing small businesses and regularly advises the Welsh Government through a number of formal and informal roles. Until his retirement in April 2024, Andy was the lead for the Wales Productivity Forum.
