The Productivity Institute Annual Review 2022-23

Front cover of the TPI Annual Review 22-23The Productivity Institute’s review of its third year is now available. The Institute has continued to make great strides in its mission to lay the foundations for an era of sustained and inclusive productivity growth over the past year. We are grateful for the fantastic work and support from all our affiliated researchers, partner institutions, and business leaders, Regional Productivity Forum chairs and members, our support team at partner institutions and those based at Alliance Manchester Business School; and our funder, the Economic and Social Research Council.

The review has forewords from Governing Council chair Dame Kate Barker; Advisory Committee chair Tera Allas; the Management Team led by Managing Director Bart van Ark; and Research Directors Tony Venables (outgoing) and Mary O’Mahony (incoming). It provides an overview of TPI’s research activity over the past year, with case studies on regional productivity, public sector productivity, strategic productivity, internationalisation, environment and sustainability, gender, and education and skills. It also features updates on the Productivity Puzzles podcast, Productivity Lab, Productivity Commission and the work of the Institute in the policy sphere.
